Dick Higgins "Intermedia" Reading Questions:

1.  Do you see a change in Higgins' attitude between the 1965 and 1981 entries?  Explain.
2.  The "Intermedia Chart" is a rather famous visual representation of intermedia.  Are there elements you would add - or a different arrangement of items that would be more meaningful to you?

1.  From the reading and what you have seen in class, how would you describe Meredith Monk's aesthetic approach to intermedia?  How does she coordinate the use of different media in her work?
2.  How do you feel her knowledge of the methodology of different disciplines influenced her compositional/choreographic process?  (i.e. how does her experience of making dance influence her music and vice versa?)
